Anyway, here they are, in no particular order:
- In His Needs, Her Needs for Parents: Keeping Romance Alive the recommendation that couples with kids allocate 15 waking hours per week to spend Alone Together (not just alone and together). This is not a typo; he means over two hours a day, no kids.
- ibid., the claim that following this recommendation could lead to daily lovemaking.
- the scene in Kill Bill Vol. 2 where a sword-carrying pistol-wielding Uma Thurman confronts David Carradine and sees (SPOILER ALERT!) their 4-year-old daughter for the first time. I had no idea what Tarantino was going to do next.
- Dr. Sarah Sumner's Men and Women in the Church: Building Consensus on Christian Leadership, several revelations. I cannot do justice to them here, but they include
- Startling exegeses of 1 Timothy 2 and Ephesians 5
- A (partial) explanation of what "head" (1 Cor. 11, etc.) means
- A satisfying explanation of "weaker vessel" (1 Peter 2)
